BEWARE GHOSTS ARE DEMONS IN DISGUISE

demons and ghosts

“There shall not be found among you … one that useth divination, a soothsayer, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or one that consulteth a ghost or a familiar spirit, or a necromancer. For whosoever doeth these things is an abomination unto the LORD” (See Deut.18:10-12; JPS Tanakh 1917).

Ghosts are demon spirits who are familiar with a particular environment or family. Because they have been in that family or environment far longer than even the humans, they are ‘familiar’ with the history of the family and the environment as well, and so are able to mimic the person(s) they disguise/masquerade as.

Do not be ignorant of satan’s devices nor allow yourself to be taken in by his lies.“People are destroyed for lack of knowledge” (Hosea 4:6)

What you fear will always torment you but what you confront will disappear.

Stop listening to lies from the pit of hell that those ghosts haunting your house are your dead relatives. Instead of further compounding your problems by going to mediums, seek out the truth about your issues from the Word of God.

satan takes advantage of people’s ignorance in order to victimize them. Refuse to be preyed upon. You have the victory in Christ Jesus already. He gave you the power over the forces of evil.

God’s Word says,

“Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing will injure you.” (See Luke 10:19)

Confront the demons behind the ghosts and command them to leave at once.

You have to understand and realize that, “Every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith” (See 1 John 5:4).

Satan runs a parallel government against God, which is known as the “kingdom of darkness” (See Colossians 1:13)

Even though satan is wise, he is not the Omniscient that God is. Therefore, he counterfeits everything in the kingdom of God in order to deceive the saints into false worship.

One of such counterfeit is the ‘unholy ghosts’ which is a cheap imitation of God’s Holy Spirit or Holy Ghost, as some interpreters have it.

satan’s demon spirits masquerade as ghosts (unholy ghosts) in order to torment, oppress, intimidate, manipulate and control humans; as a means of accomplishing his mission to “to steal, kill and destroy” them (See John 10:10).

It will be helpful for you to understand that demons are bodiless evil spirits. Because of their affinity with humans, they seek to possess the human body where possible, or live in close proximity to humans when possession is not possible.

That is why as unholy ghosts and the devil’s agents on assignment, they haunt either abandoned or inhabited homes as well as other places where humans visit or congregate.

The Bible warns us to:

“Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour” (See 1 Peter 5:8).

We are to “Stand firm against him, and be strong in our faith” (See 1 Peter 5:9).

People suffer unnecessarily because of ignorance. satan takes advantage of people’s ignorance to torment, oppress, possess, depress, control, intimidate, and manipulate them.

But when you know and understand that the devil is at the back of every evil, you would stand firm against him with your shield of faith, to confront and unmask him in defeat.

WARFARE PRAYER:

ABBA Dad, thank You for the gift of your Holy Spirit who lives in us and works with us.

We plead the speaking blood of Christ over our homes and stand against the forces of evil that are intruding into our lives and homes.

We confess as sin disobedience, the bringing in of cursed objects into our homes, occult involvement such as consulting with mediums, channellers, diviners, and necromancers. As well as other related sinful activities.

We know that you are faithful and just to forgive and cleanse us from every unrighteousness, in accordance with your Word. (See John 1:9)

We ask Fatherc that you conduct a search and point us to any object(s) or person(s) who links these foul spirits to us.

We sever our ties to all such objects and persons and reaffirm our faith in you our God and Father.

We command all evil spirits to get off our lives and property now to the feet if Christ, and never come back under any guise or disguise; to torment, oppress, depress, intimidate, vex manipulate, control or obsess us.

We are God’s Children and have no communion with satan and the forces of evil. We refuse to give liberties to satan in our world.

Our homes belong to God and by this prayer we consecrate everything we are and own to the Almighty God in CHRIST name.

We are holy unto God and therefore nothing unholy can come near us.

Thank You ABBA Dad for perfecting all that concerns us and setting us apart for Your use, in Christ’s name we pray, Amein.

  1. My question I have is this… so what is it when someone claims to have had a near death experience? There are numerous accounts of people who have been pronounced dead and brought back to life and have stories of seeing heaven and angels or seeing the fires of hell and the demons that roam there. Are all of these people full of it?

    1. I believe people who have died Really have seen Jesus AND he allows them to see hell so that when he returns them to Earth they can share with others that there is IN FACT HEaven and hell. Jesus came to me in a dream many years ago and spoke my name. In the dream he saved me from going the Wrong way. I ended up at his feet. When he spoke my name it was as clear as day and I have trouble at times explaining this entire dream without tearing up. Jesus IS VERY REAL…And he is fully Love…no matter what you have done…repent and you will be forgiven. Amen.

    2. I say yes. Because it says no man has seen the Almighty at any time. There stories, especially the those who make a profit from it, contain scenarios that conflict with the Bible. There are many who claim they were not saved. Satan can appear as an angel of light, if anyrhing these could be demons masquerading to trick these people into believing you don’t need to be saved to go to heaven. That is just my opinion.

  2. My boyfriend and I are paranormal investigators. I think God used us to help a guy that was going to commit suicide. He was being haunted and saw our buisiness card and reached out to us. My boyfriend talks to him every other day. He told us that before he started talking to us that he was going to commit suicide, but since talking to us he isn’t thinking this anymore and we even pray with him over the phone and one day he gave his life to God and said the sinners pray over the phone. We have helped others and blessed their homes and prayed with them. So if what we are doing is a sin, i hope God tells me very clear that it’s a sin. We have done more for these people that any preacher would have. My dad when living was very close to God, he would see angels and demons.

  3. #facepalm Ghosts are “demons in disguise” to the same extent that Transformers are “robots in disguise.” It makes a fun little story I guess, but since ghosts AREN’T REAL, then it’s still JUST a fictional story and people can “believe” whatever they want about them. They’re demons. They’re dead people. They’re Thetans. Whatever. Debating what ghosts “really are” is about as pointless as debating who “accurately” depicts vampires: Anne Rice? Twilight? The Vampire Diaries? Lost Boys? True Blood? I mean, have fun with that, lol…
If you think you see ghosts, you are simply seeing an illusion and telling yourself a fairy tale about it. Learn about how the human brain works. Start with pareidolia. Then learn about sleep paralysis. Next research just how common hallucinations are and what can cause them (sleep deficit being the most common). Then, read up on the hundreds of causes of photography flares and distortions. If you think you actually regularly see ghosts and none of those things could possibly explain it, then you probably have a serious mental health problem and you need to see a doctor immediately. More likely, though, you’re not getting enough sleep.
Sleep deprivation is like being drunk – when you start to experience it’s effects your self-regulation is already so impaired that you can’t actually detect it and you think you’re still perfectly fine – you’re not. Many many maaaaaaany people walk around sleep deprived every day – and appear to be functioning perfectly normal. They are like functional alcoholics or someone who daily “wake and bakes.” They can pass as fine. They think they are fine. But they are seriously impaired in many ways. Sleep deprivation is the most common and unattributed explanation for almost every unverified “ghost” sighting, alien sighting, UFO sighting, bigfoot sighting, you-name-it sighting.
Please stop spreading this foolishness. Ghosts are demons… smh sigh…

    1. And before you even go there, Ouji Boards aren’t a direct line to the dearly departed or demons. They are a hoax and are powered by nothing more than the ideomotor effect – a natural occurring and well documented phenomena of subconscious human motor function – which doesn’t require drowsiness to work, but is certainly enhanced by it! Most likely though, it is being powered by a mischievous prankster friend. A Ouji Board cannot communicate with the dead or demons any better than just lying in bed and thikin’ thoughts about your dearly departed (or a random fallen angel) and imagining what they might say to you if they could communicate with you. That is to say, it can’t.

      2. I beg to differ. I personally know a family whose daughter was tormented by some kind of entity in the home after using a Quji Board. My husband and his brother were eyewitnesses to some of the things that went on in that home. It began with a knocking under the floors and the knock would follow the daughter all over the house. Police investigators were called to the home to check underneath it to see if they could find an explanation. They couldn’t find anything, but the knock continued. I won’t go into any more detail, but that experience was enough to convince me that there is something evil and demonic attached to those boards.

      3. You are wrong about Ouija boards—that is the same as consulting demons—the Tarot cards, Mediums, fortune tellers, Botanicals with Mediums in the back rooms, horoscopes, astrology—anything that you seek to tell the future except by going to God Himself is a sin and you can open yourself up for harassment from demons.

      4. You have every right to believe as you do. But your beliefs are centered around a scientific perspective. Knowledge is a very tricky thing, and as humans we can become very prideful and narrow minded when it comes to what we think we know.
If you believe there is evil and there is good, then there must be something that causes these things to be. There must always be a balance, light and dark, good and bad, etc…
Demons do exist, maybe as ghosts, maybe not, but they do exist. Just because you have not personally experienced it does not mean it doesn’t exist, or that the person who is experiencing it is mentally challenged. The evil in the world is caused by satan, and he would love everyone to believe exactly as you do. Because as long as he has people like you fooled he can run rampant causing death, destruction and mayhem and people like you will always find another reason for the occurrence.
Faith is not blind as some would like to believe. God tells us in scripture to test the spirits. He gives us all the tools to see the truth without having to just blindly believe. God knows there are many of us who are strong willed and strong minded and question everything, There is always proof if you are willing and open minded enough to look for it, and open yourself up to idea that we might not know everything in spite of our great knowledge…….

It’s not I have seen first hand what it does to people and even though I didnt play the game it affected me as well. I have experienced good and bad with the spiritual realm. Even tho heather is pleasant when I prayed burnt sage and told the evil it was not welcome in my home or land because it belongs to god. The evil left but yet I still sometimes experience the good. Usually it’s a message of some sort I recieve.

  4. My experience with most Christians is that y’all see demons where there are none and don’t see them when they’re standing right in front of you. Y’all certainly don’t recognize false prophets who preach gospels of greed and powerlust – nope, y’all fall all over yourselves to lap that stuff up. You oppress the poor and marginalized and refuse to stand up for social justice, calling it “socialism” and without knowing what that word even means. You believe that hating others who are different from yourself in some way is righteous and acting on faith when the words of Christ in the Bible tell you otherwise.
When y’all can actually conduct yourselves in the true spirit of Christ, with the utmost integrity, compassion, respect, wisdom, generosity, loyalty, courage, humility, tolerance, common sense, and true love for your fellow human beings, come talk to me. Otherwise, you’re wasting your time and mine.

Jesus will return *once* and not in various visions – that’s an anti-Christ.
So, all the visions of dearly departed who have returned – including Moses, Mary, Jesus, your grandma, your dad, your child – all demons. Period.
Scripture says to “test the spirits to see if they are of God.” What purpose would Moses, an angel or Jesus have to make a personal, private, audience with someone? What glory does it bring to God? What more than scripture do they have to proclaim? and if they say something contrary to scripture, then you *KNOW* they are demonic.
Put your faith in God – not in the words of demonic entities. God wants you to direct your faith and trust to Him, not to ethereal beings who are distracting you from His purposes and His calling.

Jesus said that King David had not yet seen the Father. Daniel wrote, “Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will (future tense) awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt….” (Daniel 12:2) The Bible doesnt contradict itself.

    2. Ghost is a very tricky term. Yes there are demons, but every visitation is not a demon. However we must be very discerning if we encounter something of a spiritual nature. Demons can disguise themselves as seemingly innocent creatures. I knew of someone who was being visited by one of these and she was convinced it was an angel. They were very endearing and sweet, but it was filling her head with things that distorted the word of God. She was a new Christian, and not familiar enough with scripture to fully understand that she was being deceived. But this is why God tells us to test the spirits. Know your scripture, know what God says so if you ever encounter something you can’t explain, you can go to Gods word to confirm whatever they tell you.

    1. I am no expert, you can refer to Laura Maxwell’s home pages or YouTube to find out more.
Biblical text has very few instances of people practising necromancy, I suppose because there was such a harsh penalty plus ( my interpretation!) I think biblical authors did not wish to give undue attention to necromancy and medium ship.
The only stories recorded in the Bible of medium or necromancy was when Saul approached a witch to call forth Prophet Samuel (1 Samuel 28) and the mention of the spirit of clairvoyance in Acts 16:16 which St. Paul exorcised from the girl (Acts ,16.18).
Jesus cast out spirits from possessed boy and demon possessed Gadarene.
From these two accounts, it is quite clear that Old Testament, Gospels and St. Paul have nothing positive to testify about clairvoyance and necromancy and spirits. It seems logical to conclude that these spirits that speak unknown secrets and /or lend their power to humans or reside in human are definitely not part of God’s kingdom to say the least.
So what do we call spiritual creatures that The Lord disapproves of?
Maybe in other religions these sprits are deities and guardian angels to the adherents but in Christendom, they are definitely not.

      1. Of course many have their own interpretation of scripture. And, if you are clever and have scriptural knowledge you can take the Word and make it fit what you believe. But one must take the WHOLE bible and use it as reference, not just specific scriptures that speaks to a belief. I personally believe there are demons, I’ve witnessed it in others, and I have also witnessed those who badly use the word of God to make people believe untruths. It’s very easy to just quote scripture to someone, but a very different thing to understand Gods true meaning behind it. This takes years of study, understanding the Greek and Hebrew translations, and how all of this relates to our English version we read today.
So much of the meaning of scripture is different depending on whether you are reading the Greek , Hebrew or English version. Here is why we MUST have a discerning spirit, and allow God to reveal His meaning and not just rely on what others say. Even so called learned pastors and priests have distorted the word of God for centuries for their own benefit and not to the Glory of God.
So we must be diligent, study, pray, ask for discernment and wisdom, and… we should relate all we are given in love. Without this we are spewing empty words derived out of our own knowledge and not guided by the Holy Spirit.

    2. This article is full of contradictions and trying to make scripture to fit their conjecture. There is no evidence that ghost are demons and, in fact, the bible references ghosts, a reference that is conveniently not here! It talks about how the ghost of Samuel was summoned. Samuel was a great man of God, and God’s Word is Truth. Demons and ghosts are NOT one and the same!

I saw demons, ghosts, a human like form with a face of a wolf, and some beautiful human like creatures that were capable to disappear. But i believe that they were all demons trying to deceive us that what the bible were telling us were not true or incomplete. The bible speaks about dead people being asleep until the rapture and the judgement day, so it is clear that either they’re sleeping or in hell already reserved for judgement. As in the case of the rich man in Lazarus story.

  7. This article is wrong in its premise that Ghosts are demons and needs correcting

All proper ghosts are souls in purgatory that God has allowed to haunt places to strir good people to pray for them.

All violent manifestations such as poltergeists and so forth are however indeed demons from hell, and need expelling.

But a normal ghost will never attack or harm anyone, they are just asking for prayers and Masses to be offered for them while they serve out time in purgatory.

    5. Sorry reverend…. there is no such thing as purgatory, it is not biblical from a New Testament perspective , it is a Catholic idea. Because every sin should be constantly confessed to a priest to be absolved of it. But as true Christians we need only to ask Jesus for forgiveness, and it is done. There is no need for Purgatory if we are forgiven for past, present and future sins as written in scripture. If we have accepted Christ as our savior and are living a life where we strive to be more Christ like, we will go to heaven. If we do not accept Christ and deny this gift of grace, we go to hell. If we occasionally fall short, which will happen, we ask for forgiveness and it’s given, this is grace. If we have grace, which we do, there is no reason for a purgatory.

I warn clients to protect themselves from their deceit. After passing away in 2012 and coming back, I have been able to sense things about peoples lives and passed love ones. Before a session I pray “Dear God, please provide loving insight from you or those in your white light. Please protect us from any negative, dark, low, level, earthbound, shadow or demonic entities that may try and interfere or influence with our session, in the name of Jesus Christ, amen”.

As a Christian I truly believe that when we do everything through the divine he will guide us and protect us. I have been blessed to be able to find missing people, get people of addictions, sooth those who worry about their passed loved ones and help to give guidance to people to lose their vises which to me is a welcome mat for “Team Dark” to come calling. I do clearings for people with the help of the divine and Michael Archangel and it works. I spoke to an Anglican Minister and told him all that I do and he said that he thinks I have a wonderful gift and should continue to do it. I feel nothing but love when I connect to the heavens and my messages are very positive and loving to my clients and I certainly do not claim to be speaking to their passed loved ones, rather receiving guidance and direction from our creator.

So my question is this, does this seem like something that “Team Dark” has a hand in, as I can’t believe that healing so many of God’s children would be something they would have a part of.

    Thank you for your insights.

    1. A Christian is supposed to be a follower of Christ. However, anyone can say they are christian. We who follow Chrrist have a relationship with Him and that is the way it is supposed to be. Followers of Christ are Kimgdom people and we abide in Him in everything we do.

  11. Thank you for this information. Growing up as a child our grandmother told us she was born with a veil of skin over her face which signified her being a witch. I remember sitting in sayonces with my grandmother, mother and older sister. One time my mother and sister said, they saw our Uncle standing in the kitchen who was deceased…I always felt uncomfortable in that house, felt like something was watching me…I was afraid to be in a dark room alone.
My mother told us that our grandmother could see ghosts when she got older and could communicate with them…
In 2006 my mother passed away, I tried leading a sayonce with a couple of my children and niece. I had a tape recorder on recording during the sayonce. When I played the tape, you could hear voices talking… it scared me so much I destroyed that tape.
I’ve confessed my sins to the Lord since then, asked for him to forgive me, pleaing the blood of Jesus upon me. I’ve commanded satan to flee from my home as I anointed my home with oil in Jesus Holy name.
I agree with you, they are not ghosts of our family members, they are demons.
Thank your for sharing this. God be with you and bless you!

  12. I totally disagree with those. I do believe the spirit of a loved one had the ability to come visit a loved one and possibly guide them in their Life journey when we need it most. And for mediums, I feel they have a gift from God to help the living cope with the death of a loved one and to better understand there is an after life and we have so much to look forward to, I don’t see them as being driven by Satan. They are always trying to help others so they’re I believe it is a gift to help the living.

    1. The Christian faith is rooted in the Word of God not in some convenient belief system. “Do not defile yourselves by turning to mediums or to those who consult the spirits of the dead. I am the LORD your God.” Leviticus 29:31

  13. I undoubtedly believe that demons impersonating as ghosts especially the ones pretending to be Children. I do however think that spirits that our not demons do exist in this world. Didn’t spirits come back to people in the bible? So why couldn’t this be the case today? Bottom line stay strong in your faith and the word of Our God and you will be alright

    1. I believe those good visitations are truly blessed ordained visit approved by God for a purpose of the help of the loved one or to trigger a response in our sleeping thinking! I believe it happens but there is a blessed feeling or assurance to allow us to know it’s from the heavenly dimension.

  14. I think it would be better to say “evil spirits can disguise as dead people” because the word ghost was used in King James bible as the Holy Ghost

  15. Thank you for this piece. I agree with you well with your position.
Can you comment on 1 Samuel 28: 10-20?

Was it demon that masqueraded as ghost of Prophet Samuel?

Note that all the ‘ghost’ said came to pass 1 Samuel 31:1-9.

    1. Thank you for your comment. However, in response to your question, I refer you to the encounter the Apostle Paul had with the girl possessed with the spirit of divination. (See Acts 16:16-24) All she said was the truth. Furthermore, she was even recommending the men of God to the people; Yet, the Apostle Paul cast the spirit out of her. Why? Find the answer in Leviticus “”Do not turn to mediums or consult spiritists, or you will be defiled by them; I am the … Ye shall not attend to those who have in them divining spirits, nor attach …”(See Leviticus 19: 30 -32). In I Samuel 28: 3, we are told that “Saul had put away those that had familiar spirits, and the wizards, out of the land.”. He knew that consulting with them was sinful and causes defilement. However, when faced with a major crisis due to a heart that is not right with God, he defaulted to occultism. The Bible says, “5 And when Saul saw the host of the Philistines, he was afraid, and his heart greatly trembled. 6 And when Saul enquired of the Lord, the Lord answered him not, neither by dreams, nor by Urim, nor by prophets. 7 Then said Saul unto his servants, Seek me a woman that hath a familiar spirit, that I may go to her, and enquire of her. And his servants said to him, Behold, there is a woman that hath a familiar spirit at Endor.
8 And Saul disguised himself, and put on other raiment, and he went, and two men with him, and they came to the woman by night: and he said, I pray thee, divine unto me by the familiar spirit, and bring me him up, whom I shall name unto thee. 9 And the woman said unto him, Behold, thou knowest what Saul hath done, how he hath cut off those that have familiar spirits, and the wizards, out of the land: wherefore then layest thou a snare for my life, to cause me to die?” (See 1 Samuel 28: 5-9) Consulting with the dead is necromancy, which the Word of God warns against. Saul out of selfish interest went against the Word of God and suffered dire consequences which also affected his descendants. (See 1Samuel 31) Every human being is capable of interacting with the spirit world because the Human is spirit, has a soul and lives in a body’ The spirit realm comprises of both the forces of good (Kingdom of God) and forces of evil (the dark Kingdom)… My Book Demons Deactivated 1, discusses why God gave Humans the gift of PRAYING to Him as a means of communicating with the spirit realm. Without faith, no one can please God. The Christian lives by faith on the Word of God. Occultism is the direct antithesis of Christianity. Anyone who chooses to bypass God and deal directly with the spirit world as Saul and the witch of Endor did, should accept the fallout of their actions, which crosses generation-lines. 10 And Saul sware to her by the Lord, saying, As the Lord liveth, there shall no punishment happen to thee for this thing.

11 Then said the woman, Whom shall I bring up unto thee? And he said, Bring me up Samuel.

12 And when the woman saw Samuel, she cried with a loud voice: and the woman spake to Saul, saying, Why hast thou deceived me? for thou art Saul.
