Overcoming Betrayals

One of the worse things to happen to anyone is betrayal-as in violating your privacy by sharing your secrets with the opposition in order to bring you down. Betrayal is treacherous.

Until now, I never realized how deep the betrayal of Judas Iscariot of Jesus Christ was. Also, the betrayal of King David by Ahitophel, whom Theologians named the Judas of the Old Testament, was equally horrendous.

Until you have suffered betrayal, you may not actually understand how traumatic it is.

Betrayal is hard for both the betrayer and the betrayed. It is interesting to note that both of the aforementioned betrayers in the Old and New Testaments committed suicide.

Suicide, which is intentionally killing yourself, is not from God but from the devil.

Christ came that we might have life, whereas satan’s mission is to steal, kill and destroy lives.

If you are hurting because of betrayals, I can relate with you because I have been there too. However, I did not stay down there for long. I am grateful that through God’s Word, I was able to process the hurts appropriately and thus overcome the oppressive feelings.

I am sharing with you how I overcame betrayals.

Your weapon of war:

Forgiveness: You cannot afford to come down to the level of your betrayers. Therefore, you should forgive them, and refuse to become bitter. You must not give liberties to toxicity, depression and eventual suicide.

Do not allow the devil take advantage of your ignorance to cause you to self-destruct.

The Breastplate of Righteousness:

If you are born again, you have become the righteous in Christ. You must guard your heart with all diligence for it is the wellspring of life.

With righteousness as breastplate you can love your enemies despite their actions.

When the prince of the world came to test Christ, he found nothing of his in Him. In like manner, do not grant access to the devil by harboring evil in your heart.

β€œWhatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsover things are of good report … think on these things. Philippians 4:8”

What to do:

Pray to God: King David responded to the betrayal of Ahitophel his trusted adviser, by asking God to counter his wise advice with the foolishness of Hushai. (See 2Samuel chapters 16-17; 1Chronicles 27)

Be a high-achiever: Focus on the goal and not on the goads. Jesus Christ knew one of his closest friends was going to betray Him. In Divine planning, that betrayal would spearhead Christ into the next level.

Christ focus was on accomplishing the mission and not on the miscreant. You have a purpose for your existence, and the betrayers have as well. Let them do their job. The winner takes it all. Strive for excellence. Fight the good fight of faith.

Always remember that God uses all things to accomplish His purpose, and for your greater good. Refuse to allow who the betrayer is to hurt you.

David’s son and closest aide betrayed him, but he still remained king. Joseph’s siblings sold him out into slavery. Eventually, they grovelled at his feet, and he still ruled over them. Judas Iscariot betrayed Christ for gain yet he lost his life and Christ is still King of kings.

Those closest to you are capable of hurting you the most. That is what it is. Take it in your stride and move on to greater glory. See them as necessary evils and the elevator taking you to your next levels.

I release to you now, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ to enable you forgive all who have hurt you.

I speak to your mind to now forgive everyone, let go all hurts, heal, and manifest a wholesome personality now.

I pray the eyes of your understanding is enlightened so that the lessons in your present challenges sinks in, so that you will not have to retake the class.

I pronounce you cleansed from whatever attracts mean and wicked persons to you. You will from henceforth exude the fragrances of God. Glory, honor, and appreciation will define your relationships.

Your bloodline is free of recurring evil trends, and your children will turn out well.

I pray your parents will see God’s goodness in your life, rejoice over you, and commit their lives to God.

You will not miss the time of your visitation by majoring over minors. Instead, you will redeem the time and make unprecedented progress.

As you enter the new seasons of life, you will grow in grace and in the knowledge of Christ; favor will shield you, enemies will serve your best interest, and you will always take the higher road towards excellence, in Christ matchless name. Shalom!

My Search for the Perfect church

I was looking for the perfect church, so I decided to reach out to the apostle Paul with a few questions, since he was a missionary and church-planter per excellence. πŸ™‚ The following is our Bible-based discussion.

πŸ‘±πŸ»β€β™‚ – Shalom, Apostle Paul.
πŸ§”πŸ» – Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of Christ and of God.
πŸ‘±πŸ»β€β™‚- Sorry to be a bother apostle, I need your help. I’ve been disappointed in my local church and I am looking for the perfect church. Is the church in Corinth the perfect church? 😳

πŸ§”πŸ»- Nah brother, the Church in Corinth have little groups, (See 1 Corinthians 1:12,13) they struggle with envy, strife, (see 1 Corinthians 3:3) and other issues. They can’t handle their issues and thus end up in the court of common justice. (See 1 Corinthians 6:1-2, 4-5)

Moreover, there are some sexually immoral people there as well. (See 1 Corinthians 5:1) πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚

πŸ‘±πŸ»β€β™‚ -Oh! What about the Church in Ephesus, that should be a good place? 😁

πŸ§”πŸ» – Yea! It is a good place. They are a church based on the Word of God. (See Acts 20:27) However, there are several people there who are still struggling with love for others. Can you forebear with them? (See Revelation 2:4).πŸ˜•

πŸ‘±πŸ»β€β™‚ – Nah! I can’t deal with their immaturity. I think I will probably go to the church in Thessaloniki then.πŸ™‚

πŸ§”πŸ» – Well, there are some people there who have challenges and don’t like to work. They live-off the goodwill of others and might be a nuisance. (See 2 Thessalonians 3:11).πŸ˜’

πŸ‘±πŸ»β€β™‚ – Wow! That’s hard, I can’t stand lazy people. Perhaps the Philippians church will be better ?
πŸ§”πŸ»- To a great extent, it is a good church, but there are two sisters there called Euodia and Syntyche who have a disagreement and are not talking to each other. (See Philippians 4:2)

πŸ‘±πŸ»β€β™‚- Nah, I don’t want to be caught in the middle of their fight. I better go to the church in Colosse.

πŸ§”πŸ»- Hahaha, can you stand the heretics who are causing confusion there, and the other group of angel-worshippers? (See Colossians 2:18).πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚

πŸ‘±πŸ»β€β™‚- What! 😱 Heretics and angel worshippers? No way!! I would rather go to the church of the Galatians.

πŸ§”πŸ»- I don’t think that would be a good idea because, there are some believers biting and devouring each other over there. (See Galatians 5:15)😞

πŸ‘±πŸ»β€β™‚ – Dear me, it’s such an impossible task finding the perfect church.

πŸ§”πŸ»- I think so too, considering my last discussion with Apostle John about the church in Thyatira. He said the church allows a woman who calls herself a prophetess, to teach about prostitution and idolatry in the church. (See Rev. 2:20)

He also said that members of the Church in Laodicea, are proud, materialistic and lukewarm (Rev. 3:14-18). In Pergamum, there are some who follow the doctrines of the Nicolaitans and Balaam (Rev. 2:14-15).

πŸ‘±πŸ»β€β™‚ – Really? Apostle Paul sir, I have considered going to the headquarters church in Jerusalem, but I heard they are full of prejudices. (Gal. 2:11-13) Some are murmurers, (Acts 6:1) and some more are liars.(Acts 5:1-11). Where then can I fellowship with other Christians if all the churches are full of these kind of people? 😟

πŸ§”πŸ» – Beloved, please understand that there is no perfect church. We are all at different levels of growth/maturity. 😌 Forbear one another in love. Do unto others as you will wish them to do to you. Work out your salvation with fear and trembling instead of criticizing and running others down.

Cooperate with church leaders and help others achieve perfection in Christ, (See Ephesians 4:11-13) just as I have been doing. (See 1 Corinthians 11:1)

Stop seeing people through worldly eyes, see them through God’s eyes. While we were still sinners, God sent Christ to pay the ultimate price for our sins.

If God gave us the Word and ministry of reconciliation, how then can you stop going to church just because people are imperfect, when you have the ability to impact lives? (see 2Corinthians 5:11-21; Hebrews 10:24,25). 😌

Renew your mind and become a change agent. Counsel and exhort the brethren in brotherly love. (Hebrews 3:12,13).

Christianity is ‘a together-faith’. We need each other. No one is complete in himself. We are interdependent and gifted differently. Each of us should use whatever gift we have received for the good of others, as faithful stewards of the grace of God in it’s various forms,(See 1Peter 4:10)

Make yourself available to God (2 Cor. 8:5). Offer your life daily as A PLEASING SACRIFICE TO HIM. (Rom. 12:1)

β€œYou therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier. And also if anyone competes in athletics, he is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules.” (2 Timothy 2:3-5)

The God of Unpredictable Provisions

(A #personalTestimony)

The multitude of camels shall cover thee, the dromedaries of Midian and Ephah; all they from Sheba shall come: they shall bring gold and incense; and they shall shew forth the praises of the Lord.” (Isaiah 60:6;KJV)

God indeed speaks to us through His Word. Yesterday, I needed a miracle. A few hours later, the miracle materialized. This is the story of God’s goodness to us.

I got a 3am phone call that was so heart rending. The caller’s sob was so deep that it traumatized me. Just a few dollars would have solved the issues. Rather unfortunately, I too did not have a dime, and I felt so inadequate.

However, my encouraging words pointed her to the faithfulness of God. As I was considering my options, because I was too distraught to pray, God led me to see a prayer post from my Facebook memories, with the Tittle, “Send now Prosperity” and I made it my Prayer.

A few hours later, I was led to share a post ” UNPREDICTABLE PROVISIONS OF GOD. With a scripture base from Isaiah 60:6. Check it out, it’s there on my Facebook personal page.

At that time, I did not realize that the message was the answer to my Prayer.

I was in a physically weakened state because I was enforcing the victory of my physical healing over some health issues.

In addition to the healing process, I am engaging in my yearly ‘spiritual exercises of regimented praying, fasting, and Bible Study.’

Therefore, you can imagine how agonizing it was that a mother reached out to God through me for help because she was at the end of the rope. Her cries cut me to the heart because I too needed provisions like yesterday.

I am so thankful that God has given me consistent missionary partners, whose regular financial support keep us sufficient in the sufficiency of Christ.

However, recently, our needs increased and we have been growing in faith as we trust God for increasing provisions. We were desperate for provisions, and the cries of that needy mother, tore at my heart. Because of the healing process, I could barely sit up. As I reclined on our sofa, all I could say was ‘God, send now prosperity.”

The God who hears the faintest cry from the heart answered, and I got another phone call. The second caller asked, ” have you checked your mail? “. Of course, I hadn’t checked my mail because I was preoccupied with the problems, and bellyaching over how God was going to answer our requests.

Lo! and behold! The God of unpredictable provisions showed up! My heart welled up in praises. God ministered to the second caller to reach out to us. That obedient action became the answer to my Prayer. In turn, I also became the answer to the Prayer of the first caller, when I called to give her the good news.

Dear friend, the God of unpredictable provisions still answer prayers and He is always on time. In a twinkle of an eye, God shows up. You cannot give up now at the very edge of your breakthrough.

Your breaking point is the trigger that releases your breakthrough.

I am so thankful for the grace to look up to God for supplies and not depend on humans. I do not despise those who are still growing in that grace, and thus still beg, borrow, or steal, when they are in deep need.

It is not of him that wills nor of him that runs, it is God who shows mercy. When the burden seems too much to bear, God just takes the load away, renew my strength, and gives me a new lease of life

I also appreciate those who seek prayer support in their times of need. When I read about the challenges some of you are facing, it humbles me and motivate me to intercede more for others.

I too have my ‘Inner Circle Prayer Partners, who I reach out to for prayer support. Please, learn to share your burdens with other Believers.

Do not bother about gossips or backbitters. You will always be ahead them. You should focus on navigating your life with the Word if God.

Christianity is ‘a together faith’ . Christ says, “…if two of you shall agree on earth concerning anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in Heaven.” (See Matthew 18:19) Do not bear your burdens alone. Let others pray with you.

We aspire to become financial missionaries, as God grows the Work. Although we are not yet there, we are intruments of righteousness, and committed to standing with you in prayers until the sun of righteousness shines upon you.

Send in your prayer requests, let us be a part of the solution. At this time do not bother asking for financial support, we are not there yet.

If you are interested in growing in grace as a spiritual warrior, in addition to your Bible, you can check out our published books from the following places online:

Concerning Divorce and Restoration

“God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8)

God hates divorce not divorcees. Understandably, you are hurting from the betrayal of your spouse. However, it is counterproductive when divorcees allow every form of strife to take root in their hearts, while praying for ‘marriage-restoration’. Can you mock God?

There are so many people β€˜standing’ with the hope of reconciling with the spouse who have remarried. Instead of β€˜standing still’ and working on themselves, they engage in smear campaigns assassinating the character of the ex and the new spouse.

The anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God. (See James 1:20)

Your self-righteous indignation and hateful words will further alienate your spouse. No one wants to go back to a narcissist. By your words and actions, you frustrate God’s grace that is available for the restoration of your marriage.

Be gracious:

When you are gracious, you will not be vengeful but compassionate. If not for the grace of God, you would have been the victim of lust. Because you have not fallen into sexual sins does not make you holier than them. You sin differently and thus have no moral justification to cast any stone at them. So chill.
For β€œIt is of the LORD’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning”. (Lamentations 3:22-23)

Therefore, β€œLet no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers”. (Ephesians 4:29)
Learn to minister grace to others. Work on yourself. Renew your mind with the Word of God and your character change will recreate an attraction.

Walk in Love:

If you truly desire restoration and not revenge, β€œLet all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you”. (Ephesians 4:31-32)

In order to walk in love, you have to β€˜walk in the Spirit’ and you will no longer fulfil the lust of the flesh. (See Galatians 5:16) The mind is the major battleground in spiritual warfare. When you allow negatives dominate your mind, you will become more vindictive, manipulative, and narcissistic.

Whereas, when you feed your mind with the Word of God, you will yield to the guidance of the Holy Spirit. The way you see and respond to things will change. There will be no room for self-righteousness, judging and condemning of others. Instead, the love of God will flood your soul. That love will motivate you to seek the salvation and not the death of the sinner.

Just as God commended His love to us while we were still sinners, you will become selfless and esteem others better than yourself. (See Philippians 2:3) You will become love-personified. Love will be the motivation for your words and actions. Your focus will be on pleasing God and not on avenging your ex or proving his/her guilt to the world.

From the Word of God I say this to you:
β€œLove your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you…Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.” (Matthew 5:43-48)

* Thank God for the grace of marriage, forgiveness of sins and for the finished works of the Christ.
* Ask forgiveness for frustrating the grace of God by your unforgiveness, anger, self-righteousness, evil communications, and other personal sins.
* Affirm your faith in God, His justice, faithfulness, love, and Omnipotence.
* Declare you are Spirit-filled and Spirit-led, are delivered from the forces of darkness and have the power of attorney to enforce the victory of the Cross.
* Command to go at once to the feet of Christ, all the foul spirits and their relatives that have been fighting against your marriage- call out their names, (divorce, hatred, disunity, disagreements, domination, narcissism, unforgiveness, lust, hate, revenge, etc.)
* Declare the restoration of your marriage and that God perfectly rearranges your circumstances to glorify Him.
*Bless your spouse and the other Man/Woman. Ask God to perfect all that concerns them and to give them their own spouse. *Thank God for speedy answers, in Christ mighty name.

The filling of the Holy Spirit and power, causes love to motivate my thoughts, words, and actions. I now see and relate with others with the love of God, in Christ precious name.
