My Search for the Perfect church

I was looking for the perfect church, so I decided to reach out to the apostle Paul with a few questions, since he was a missionary and church-planter per excellence. πŸ™‚ The following is our Bible-based discussion.

πŸ‘±πŸ»β€β™‚ – Shalom, Apostle Paul.
πŸ§”πŸ» – Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of Christ and of God.
πŸ‘±πŸ»β€β™‚- Sorry to be a bother apostle, I need your help. I’ve been disappointed in my local church and I am looking for the perfect church. Is the church in Corinth the perfect church? 😳

πŸ§”πŸ»- Nah brother, the Church in Corinth have little groups, (See 1 Corinthians 1:12,13) they struggle with envy, strife, (see 1 Corinthians 3:3) and other issues. They can’t handle their issues and thus end up in the court of common justice. (See 1 Corinthians 6:1-2, 4-5)

Moreover, there are some sexually immoral people there as well. (See 1 Corinthians 5:1) πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚

πŸ‘±πŸ»β€β™‚ -Oh! What about the Church in Ephesus, that should be a good place? 😁

πŸ§”πŸ» – Yea! It is a good place. They are a church based on the Word of God. (See Acts 20:27) However, there are several people there who are still struggling with love for others. Can you forebear with them? (See Revelation 2:4).πŸ˜•

πŸ‘±πŸ»β€β™‚ – Nah! I can’t deal with their immaturity. I think I will probably go to the church in Thessaloniki then.πŸ™‚

πŸ§”πŸ» – Well, there are some people there who have challenges and don’t like to work. They live-off the goodwill of others and might be a nuisance. (See 2 Thessalonians 3:11).πŸ˜’

πŸ‘±πŸ»β€β™‚ – Wow! That’s hard, I can’t stand lazy people. Perhaps the Philippians church will be better ?
πŸ§”πŸ»- To a great extent, it is a good church, but there are two sisters there called Euodia and Syntyche who have a disagreement and are not talking to each other. (See Philippians 4:2)

πŸ‘±πŸ»β€β™‚- Nah, I don’t want to be caught in the middle of their fight. I better go to the church in Colosse.

πŸ§”πŸ»- Hahaha, can you stand the heretics who are causing confusion there, and the other group of angel-worshippers? (See Colossians 2:18).πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚

πŸ‘±πŸ»β€β™‚- What! 😱 Heretics and angel worshippers? No way!! I would rather go to the church of the Galatians.

πŸ§”πŸ»- I don’t think that would be a good idea because, there are some believers biting and devouring each other over there. (See Galatians 5:15)😞

πŸ‘±πŸ»β€β™‚ – Dear me, it’s such an impossible task finding the perfect church.

πŸ§”πŸ»- I think so too, considering my last discussion with Apostle John about the church in Thyatira. He said the church allows a woman who calls herself a prophetess, to teach about prostitution and idolatry in the church. (See Rev. 2:20)

He also said that members of the Church in Laodicea, are proud, materialistic and lukewarm (Rev. 3:14-18). In Pergamum, there are some who follow the doctrines of the Nicolaitans and Balaam (Rev. 2:14-15).

πŸ‘±πŸ»β€β™‚ – Really? Apostle Paul sir, I have considered going to the headquarters church in Jerusalem, but I heard they are full of prejudices. (Gal. 2:11-13) Some are murmurers, (Acts 6:1) and some more are liars.(Acts 5:1-11). Where then can I fellowship with other Christians if all the churches are full of these kind of people? 😟

πŸ§”πŸ» – Beloved, please understand that there is no perfect church. We are all at different levels of growth/maturity. 😌 Forbear one another in love. Do unto others as you will wish them to do to you. Work out your salvation with fear and trembling instead of criticizing and running others down.

Cooperate with church leaders and help others achieve perfection in Christ, (See Ephesians 4:11-13) just as I have been doing. (See 1 Corinthians 11:1)

Stop seeing people through worldly eyes, see them through God’s eyes. While we were still sinners, God sent Christ to pay the ultimate price for our sins.

If God gave us the Word and ministry of reconciliation, how then can you stop going to church just because people are imperfect, when you have the ability to impact lives? (see 2Corinthians 5:11-21; Hebrews 10:24,25). 😌

Renew your mind and become a change agent. Counsel and exhort the brethren in brotherly love. (Hebrews 3:12,13).

Christianity is ‘a together-faith’. We need each other. No one is complete in himself. We are interdependent and gifted differently. Each of us should use whatever gift we have received for the good of others, as faithful stewards of the grace of God in it’s various forms,(See 1Peter 4:10)

Make yourself available to God (2 Cor. 8:5). Offer your life daily as A PLEASING SACRIFICE TO HIM. (Rom. 12:1)

β€œYou therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier. And also if anyone competes in athletics, he is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules.” (2 Timothy 2:3-5)
