The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee. (See Zephaniah 3:17)
Yesterday, November 25, 2019 was a day I fought and overcame grief. If I had allowed my emotions get the best of me, I would have been sucked into the pit of depression.
Because I was in emotional turmoil, my immunity was at an all time low. So, I had the additional stress of battling a stomach bug, and conflicting emotions, while remembering loved ones who died over the years, in the month of November.
I was so weak, I could barely sit up.
Painful Memories flooded my soul. Sadness almost overwhelmed me as I thought of our mum who passed in Nov 25, 1972; my cousin Christopher Nov. 29, 2006, my kid brother Pastor Vince, Nov, 26, 2011; and my dearest friend David, Nov. 3, 2018.
The forces of evil wanted to take advantage of grief, to torment me with depressive thoughts and to plague me with health issues.
Before the condition became this bad, I had prayed, fasted, worshipped and fulfilled all righteousness. But there was a deep hurt, longing, and anger in my Soul, that stood against all my Spiritual exercises.
Since Christianity is ‘a together faith’, I had to reach out to a dear friend for prayer support, and who attested that deep intercession have been ongoing for me.
Our opening scripture verse, is the Word of encouragement sent.
I pray you too receive strength from this powerful Word of God, as I did.
No matter what you are going through at this season, whether grieving the loss of loved ones, singleness, loneliness, illhealth, etc. Just know that the LORD God is mighty in your midst. You are not alone.
God already promised not to leave, or forsake us. Hold fast to the Word of God, let it sink into your spirit, and all the doubts and depressive thoughts will flyaway.
Prayer:
Father, thank you for your presence in our midst. We are grateful for healing, salvation and the life you gave us.
This season ABBA, we recommit our lives to you, and receive strength and the enabling grace to process our hurts and griefs appropriately.
We command to leave at once to the feet of Christ, all the evil spirits that took advantage of our time of weakness to breach our security.
We are grateful that there are no loses to us, and no voids in our lives. For your Word in us gains ascendancy over all adversity, and fills us with hope, joy and fulfillment.
We walk in preordained pathways of blessings, success, victory, and excellence, and we are manifesting your blessings to our world, in Christ matchless name. Amein.
Shalom. From Hephzibah Christly
